Topic: reading comprehension, listening activity, writing an opinion/feeling based on a painting, idioms worksheet
Feedback: I asked Ayah if she had specific help needed and she wanted to go over an article she had to read for class. We went through it together and I provided similar examples to the content in the story to help her understand its meaning.
Lessons: Ayah has warmed up and is chattier than before. This helps me better assess how developed her English is, and I discovered I have been using some material that is lower level than necessary. She struggled a bit with the listening/question activity but is clearly making strong efforts to improve.
