Parker- TS #7

Date/Time:  1/27/16 9:00-10:00 AM
Location: Skype
Topic/Skill: Speaking and Listening Skills
Feedback provided to tutee: Per my tutees request we started this lesson out with about 15 minutes of conversation.  During this time he asked me to nit-pick over his speech.  We then moved on to my prepared activity of the day which was for him to describe a typical weekday for him in detail.  While he was talking I wrote down the sentences that he made that had errors in them.  When he was finished describing his day I started with assuring him that he did quite a good job and that even though he made errors, no errors were large enough to obscure the meaning of a sentence.  I then presented him with the sentences with errors and asked him if he could correct them, which he was able to do with all but one.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned:  My tutee tends to make simple mistakes in conjugating verbs and forgetting to insert articles while talking, even though he has quite a firm grasp of this concept while writing and analyzing sentences.
