Jeongmin March 3rd FAB LAB 10 pm - 12 am listening comprehension
Jeongmin and I always have a great time talking. He is really coming out of his shell and has been so gracious to allow me to tutor him although originally he had asked for a conversation partner.
Today we talked about the Ides of March, though a Roman begun "superstition" regarding how Julius Caesar was murdered due to being stabbed 23 times.
I read the following article to my tutee
http://www.history.com/news/ask-history/what-are-the-ides-of-march
I had devised many TOEFL style questions to evaluate his comprehension. Jeongmin is very intelligent and has proven to be a master at written fluency. However, he needs some encouragement with the listening and speaking. We had a good time talking about Caesar and history. He seems to be interested in history and prehistory as well, which makes it so great since I am taking a prehistory Anthropology class.
