Topic/Skill: Reading skills
Feedback provided to tutee: For the first session with my child tutee, a needs assessment was performed. After this I then picked out an appropriate book and slowly worked through it with the tutee. We especially worked on sounding out words that he didn't know right away.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned:  My tutee was very hard to teach, as he did not want to focus on what they were doing. I learned that a lot of patience is needed to tutor this type of child and it is important to not give up.
