Topic discussed: Introducing selves, language learning
Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: We discussed how similar language learning is between the U.S. and South Korea, as both countries tend to focus more on grammar and memorization rather than conversation. We reflected on the differences in structure between English and Korean, and how this can lead to humorous mishaps if someone tries to literally translate between the two. We also spoke of how important it is to have confidence in speaking another language, and to not be afraid of making mistakes/being corrected because that's how you improve.
