Date/ time: January 20, 2016
Topic/ skill: future present
Teacher Presentation: The teacher used a slide show with
examples to review the ideas with the students.
Classroom management: The students were well behaved and
involved in the lesson.
Student participation: All the students participated; the
teacher made sure to call on each student to provide examples or answer a
question.
Feedback provided: The teacher corrected some of the
student examples.
Lesson(s) on teaching you learned: One time the teacher
called on a student to give an example of how people would make a promise and
the student said “gonna” which is a common slang among native speakers, the
teacher turned to me and said “technically he’s not wrong.” So obviously slang
plays into learning a language.
