Topic discussed: Backgrounds/hometowns, hobbies, likes, having to get your cellphone fixed. We also talked talked some about his family in friends in Kuwait, and his educational ambitions.
Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: This was a very basic conversation, but I introduced my conversation partner to some new ideas. His phone was broken, so I gave him some relevant vocab (broken, screen, fix, repairman) and we went over briefly how that conversation would go.
