- Class started with questions about current time and place, to include proper spelling and format of the date. Each student was asked to participate.
- A brief review of the previous day's lessons were covered. Content included the English alphabet, vowels, and vowel sounds.
- Most of the class period was used to fill out immigration/visa forms for the students. A considerable amount of time was needed to accomplish this task.

Lessons learned: The instructor spoke slowly, clearly, and concisely. Class period could have better utilized if immigration forms had been completed prior to class.
