Topic/Skill: Needs Assessment, self-study tips, and conjunctions
Feedback provided to tutee: After checking that she was okay with me correcting her in conversation, I occasionally did so by either asking her what she said/meant or emphasizing her wording. Her most immediate concern was regarding the use of conjunctions, so I had her form example sentences (which she did well with).
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: What she most needs to work on is practicing with English outside of class as well as having the confidence to speak more. It is definitely interesting working with a student that is as good as her, because she does understand most of the grammar but still makes minor mistakes (occasionally catching herself).
