Date/Time: Sunday, January 10th, 4:30-5:30pm
Location: Leon County Public Library
Topic/Skill: Reading story books and answering questions about it. Also, we covered some maths. We were covering at the beginning of the class some multiplications and we were drawing some objects to represent the numbers. That way it is easier for the child to recognize the solution. Later, most of the class we read 3 short books for kids.
Feedback provided to tutee: For the stories, I asked questions about the pictures of the book; for instance who is this? why is he wearing a hat? and things like that. Based on the reading, the child responded. As far as we read, she seems to understand everything well. So, I gave her positive feedback. But still needs some reading practice.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: What I learned in this class is that children are always motivated to discover new things. She loves reading stories. After this weekend, I know what kind of books she can read. So, for the next class, I will search more books based on her level so that she can read and practice more. I also learned what her favorite stories are. So for the future, we can choose fiction stories as well as books related to animals.
