Jeff Grab - Class Observation #3

Reading Fundamentals

- Majority of lesson utilized audio training aid in conjunction with fill-in-the-blanks worksheet. Audio was played numerous times to ensure student listening comprehension.
- Worksheet was reviewed on projector, with individual student participation.
- Vocabulary (verbs) was expanded with new, high frequency words being introduced to students. Spelling, pronunciation, and proper grammar usage was stressed.
- Instructor acted out verbs in a charades like format. Students described the actions of the instructor in complete sentences.

Lessons learned: Kinesthetic learning  approach is effective. Students seemed eager to participate.
