In honor of George Washington’s birthday, the class started its seventh session with an interview of George Washington’s father and Kermit the Frog. The video was a lot of fun to share with the class. The students explained to me that the video felt familiar to them because of their familiarity with the Spanish Plaza Sesamo. After the video, we learned about adverbs. We covered common adverbs they already knew as well as adverbs of time. To practice this skill, I had the students divide into pairs and tell each other how often they do certain activities. I was happy with the students’ performance because they often used the adverbs correctly and put them in the right spot which freed up my time to help them focus on working with their pronunciation.
