Topic/Skill: Introductions and needs assessment
Feedback provided to tutee: Tutee seemed overwhelmed with all of the material he was learning, and expressed that he wanted to focus mostly on grammar, but didn't want to do this at the expense of other subjects. For my part, I mostly just tried to calm him and come up with a rough plan that he would agree on.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I learned that he is Kuwaiti, and how to quickly incorporate all of a student's needs into a tutoring strategy that they can then agree upon. Also, since this tutee is in Foundations, he may provide a bit of a challenge for me during our actual sessions, as I need to explain grammatical concepts to him in ways he understands.
