Topic/Skill: Speaking and Listening Skills
Feedback provided to tutee: For this session, my tutee asked for my assistance with an upcoming speaking presentation he was to do for class. He first interviewed me about his topic, and then wrote down my responses in a shortened form. This provided a comprehension check for what I was saying. I then had him talk about his presentation and what he will say. This was a good speaking activity and I provided error correction along with it.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: It is important to be flexible as a tutor, because even though you might have a lesson plan already for the day, the tutee might have something totally different that they want to work on.
