Location: (she picked me up and we went to her house, and then to a
coffee bar.
Topics Discussed:
She picked me up in my apartment because she was having three sick
kittens. I was amazed when she told me that she was a foster cat mum. September
provided a lot of expensive pills and vaccines for the kittens. (Hopefully they
are getting better). We went to her house and she left the kittens there. We
spoke about animas first. I explained her that I have a dog in Spain and that I
would love to have a kitten with me , but that would be difficult. Since I am
an international student, it is difficult to travel with an animal with you.
After that, we had breakfast in craig's killer coffee. I tried the Mocha coffee, which was one of the
best coffees I have ever tried. It was very sweet and I loved it. September
told me that I could refill my cup as many times I wanted. This was something
very American for me. Because in Spain, you have to pay for each drink you ask.
And in US you can refill it as many times you want and also, you do not need to
ask for it, you just serve it yourself. So, this cultural difference lead us to
discuss the tips when you go to a restaurant. In Spain is not very common to
provide tips, unless you are very satisfied. However, in the US, it is something
you must do.
