Feedback provided to tutee: My tutee was getting ready to take the IELTS exam, and he really wanted me to help him prepare for it. IELTS is the International English Language Testing System. It’s designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is the language of communication. We started with practicing reading, where he had to read a passage and answer questions about it at the end. He read it out loud, and I made some small corrections of words as he read. He also pointed out words he didn’t know I would tell him what it meant. We worked on the questions together, and I was giving him different strategies in finding the correct answer. He did pretty well on the questions. I was very proud!
