Topic Skills: Conversational listening/speaking
Feedback provided to tutee: This session was focused on a different kind of speaking. As of late, we have been working on preparing my tutee for the SPEAK exam, which she will be taking in April. Today, we took a break from that and worked on conversational skills. Each time we have a casual conversation, she learns a new way to express her meaning. Casual, everyday words are just as important to know as the highly academic & formal words that are learned in class. Sometimes using the casual/non academic words in daily conversation can help prevent confusion from those who are not familiar with them. Very lax session.
