Olivia TS#5

Date/Time: 1/20/16 @ 5:30-6:30

Location: Leroy Collins Leon County Library

Topic/Skill: Past tense verbs

Feedback provided to tutee: My tutee had a quiz coming up in past-tense verbs and wanted me to review with him. He had some worksheets from his class, and we went over them together. Some had been graded and some needed to be completed. I just helped him correct his mistakes and explained why they were wrong.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I learned how difficult the English language could be sometimes. When my tutee would explain why he thought a different word was used, I could see how he would think that. Getting repeated exposure to words in different forms is a good way to prevent those small mistakes from happening.
