Date/Time: 2/5/16 @ 3-4PM
Location: CIES
Topic/Skill: Reading log
Feedback provided to tutee: My tutee brought a reading log he needed to complete for one of his classes. He explained how sometimes he has trouble with them, so he wanted me to help. We went through it and he read the story out loud. I helped him with different words that he didn’t know, and he wrote down the definitions in his notebook for future reference. I guided him a little on the questions he needed to answer, pointing out key words to look for when he goes back in the text, and explaining any part of it that he didn’t quite understand. He also wrote down the words he didn’t know on the worksheet, and we found synonyms and different forms of the words.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I had already had this idea, but I really learned how dedicated and motivated this student is. He was eager to learn what different things meant and he wrote a lot of notes in his notebook so he could study them. I was very proud.
