Feedback provided to tutee: My tutee wanted to work on listening comprehension, so I played different listening exercises and followed them up with questions. We would talk about the subject of the exercise before listening and then we would listen multiple times before moving on to questions. He is very good at understanding new words from context clues.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I learned that listening is definitely one of the hardest skills to acquire, especially when the person speaking has an accent. My tutee was usually able to listen and understand me, but I spoke slower than I normally would. This was my last session with him, and he helped me to be more patient and understanding while tutoring.
