Feedback provided to tutee: Since this was our first meeting, the tutee and I spent much of the time diagnosing what his needs are. He is fluent enough in English that communicating was relatively easy minus the occasional hiccup. During our chat I introduced larger and more complicated words in to my speech to test his level of comprehension. We went over the vocabulary that he didn't know and I presented him with example sentences for that vocabulary for greater context.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: The tutee does have difficult with listening comprehension when the conversation is lead at a more brisk pace but is not shy in pointing out when he doesn't understand something.
